Cities & Districts — Chengdu for the Foreign Community
Chengdu treated the same way as the rest of the network — twelve districts, the metro system with a working route planner, and two international airports. Home of the Giant Panda, Sichuan hotpot, and one of China's most laid-back big cities.
Key Facts
01 · Districts
Chengdu is a megacity — this covers the twelve districts most relevant to the foreign community. The downtown core spans Jinjiang, Qingyang, Wuhou and Chenghua; the southern high-tech corridor sits mainly in Wuhou and Tianfu New Area.
02 · Every Line, Every Station
Chengdu's network runs to 15+ lines and 400+ stations system-wide — this covers the 11 core lines. Line 7 is a fully closed loop. Line 9 is explicitly flagged as an outer loop that isn't closed yet, per the source research.
